Vancouver

Google Map of all my recommendations for Vancouver

Vancouver is another wonderful city in Canada, and its inclusion on my website is a must. While I did not spend a lot of time in Vancouver, I still was able to eat some amazing meals. I was surprised to have so many fried chicken spots come up in my research, and while devouring some of the amazing chicken here, I see why this city is a hidden fried chicken gem. While hopefully you can enjoy the beauty of Vancouver, make sure you stop at some of these restaurants to put a bow on your time in Vancouver.

Fried Chicken/Chicken Sandwich

Rank: 111

I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the fried chicken is in Vancouver. You will find another fried chicken place later in this list, however most fried chicken pails in comparison to Down Low Fried Chicken. Their sandwiches here are damn fantastic. I had the Jerk, and while it was amazing, I think whatever “sando” strikes your fancy when you arrive here will leave you very satisfied. The chicken here is fried to perfection with some perfectly crispy skin and packed with a lot of flavor. I did not think the chicken was too hot and ordered the hot variation. The flavor persists throughout the whole chicken, and the slaw on these sandwiches is fantastic. No sandwich would lead you astray here, so if you want chicken, look no further than Down Low.

Café/Breakfast Banh Mi

Rank: 114

Red Wagon Café boasts a unique item on its menu that stands out above most breakfasts I have had. Their Breakfast banh mi is simply amazing. This banh mi, like all sandwiches, starts with amazing bread. However, we quickly transition into amazing pork belly, eggs, and a standard array of veggies you are used to from most banh mis. If you are up and looking for breakfast, this simply is a must. I ate other food at Red Wagon, but their banh mi is the highlight here.

Brunch/Cereal Milk Mochi Donut

Rank: 127

Their There is another place to snag breakfast in Vancouver and it is an interesting addition to the list. The normal menu items are generally pretty good for breakfast. However, the clear takeaway here is the showcase of donuts they have on display. Whichever of these donuts suits your fancy, I highly recommend ordering. My favorite was the Cereal Milk Mochi donut. These donuts have a perfect level of fluff, in addition have amazing flavor. These donuts melt in your mouth as the cereal mochi topping the donut is glorious.

Breakfast/Hot Mumma

Rank: 201

Every one of the chicken sandwiches here will have you starting your day off wonderfully. However, if I were you, I would go out of my way to order the Hot Mumma. In terms of spiciness, it was not that spicy, so there is no need to fret. The flavor of this chicken is constant and amazing. The hot momma sauce over this sandwich perfectly complements the fried chicken. And while these biscuits are not the best biscuits I have had, they are very good and help make this sandwich have a nice spot in the rankings.

Falafel/Chicken Wrap

Rank: 330

If you notice, there is a pretty big drop off in overall rankings from the previous entry in Vancouver. However, if you are in the mood for a wrap of any sort, Superbaba is the place for you. The chicken wrap here is the highlight, although the falafel is also really good. The wraps are nice and thick, and the sauce they have in these wraps is amazing. The chicken here packs a lot of flavor, and don’t be surprised when you bite into fries in your wrap because they are in the wrap, and it’s amazing.
