Rankings Discussion

I shall attempt to explain how my rankings are made and how I go about ranking such wide-ranging food. The key point is deliciousness. Whatever restaurant cooks the tastiest single dish is what decides where the restaurant will place on my list. Comparing donuts, pizza, cheesesteaks, BBQ, etc., is not easy; when you care about a single factor in each of these meals, it helps narrow the decision.

The list I have here may be long—over 300 eateries in length these days—but it is not easy to maintain. There are many foods that are good, great even, but just are not noteworthy. Here, I am only listing food that is worth discussing and revisiting because it is that tasty.

I take extensive notes and lock tastes in a vault, so every time I eat, I think about the food that made me lose my mind. I throw away all prejudices, like the environment, the hospitality, the variety of options, and the friends I kept during the meal from my ranking disputes. The sole focus is how tasty the individual dish is; that is all that is considered.

We all have different taste buds and enjoy various foods over others. I hope my rankings will help you either create your own or maybe just question mine. I love starting conversations about food rankings, and reliving those experiences with you sounds glorious to me.
